Just had some chinese food, don't worry I didn't have a lot. If your wondering how my sister's b-day party went; I'm actually surprised at myself. Yes, I ordered pasta, they had like no rice or potatoes, just a lot o'noodles. My choices were basically pasta or salad, and I had gotten a salad the other day when I went out, so I treated myself. Had a glass of white wine, I haven't drank for months. I ordered whole grain pasta with red peppers and spinach. And yes, the sauce was on the side!!!!!!!! :) It was not a very thick sause, however it was cheezy and buttery. Totally didn't use a lot. Had a lil more bread than I wanted but still kept it under control. Even when the waiter brought my sister a huge block of chocolate cake, I had like two bites. I didn't have a huge craving. All and all, it was a good night.
Tomorrow, I'm going to get myself an elliptical or crosstrainer. I'm getting it as an early b-day gift. Since my b-day is in December, I thought it would be cool to write a blog on my birthday to look back at this one and see my progress. I can workout in the comfort of my own home :)! With my classes starting Monday, having a machine in my apartment will be such a convenience and not to mention a time saver. I won't be able to use the typical excuses such as " It's too cold outside" or " I don't feel like driving to the gym". It will be right in my living room infront of the tv. Only myself will stand in the way.
On another note, today I was a lil bored and decided to put some fake tatoos on. :P! I had a sheet of butterflies that I had gotten a while ago and never put them on. I put one on my ankle and the other on my right hand between my thumb and index finger. I always wanted to get a tatoo of a butterfly because they resemble life. I began to think about the placement of my butterflies. It was interesting that one was on my foot and the other on my hand. I had the realization that to accomplish our goals in life, we bring ourselves to reach them one step at a time. And our hands turn the pages of our lives as the years go by. They guide and influence our choices to give or take from others. The power to have the life we want is inside of us. Though at times, it might be hard to find or its not very strong, however KNOW IT IS there. It exists and can be extraordinary it you are aware and willing to acknowledge it. We are all meant to be our absolute best. It is never too late for improvement. There is no deadline for dedication. Remember, you have the power to be who you want, always.
